PES-Architects, 2021 — 2022

This theatre is located in a new skyscraper district in Jinan, China. Our team was asked to reimagine the interior design concept of the theatre, spanning everything from the foyer and performance spaces to visitor bathrooms and background spaces.

My work focused on the theatre’s foyer space, where I developed a design involving concave surfaces and a cavernous ceiling. This work was done in Rhinoceros using freehand SubD geometry, while perforations and lighting I added using a Grasshopper script.

I also created the concept images for the main spaces.
